Stanford University has issued a prestigious ranking the "World's Top 2% Scientists list" that highlights the most influential researchers in a wide range of scientific fields. The authors on the lists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 scientific branches.

The published list has been updated and contains 2% of the most cited scientists in the world according to data from 1 August 2024.

There are two lists - the first refers to the entire career and the second, annual, for the year 2023.

Among other scientists from the Republic of Croatia, Professor Tomislav Došlić, Full Professor from the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb is included in both lists.

Among 82 Croatian scientists recognized in the list of the top 2% most cited throughout their careers, Professor Došlić holds an impressive 40th place. Considering the data for 2023, he ranks 68th among 116 Croatian scientists on the list.
