About the Library of the Faculty of Civil Engineering
The Library was established in 1919 as the Central Lending Library of the Technical High School in Zagreb. With the development of the University, the Library underwent various changes, including changes in its name. Today, it serves as the Central Lending Library of the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb.
The number of borrowed books and journals exceeds 20,000 annually. The library collection consists of approximately 45,000 volumes of books, mostly in the fields of civil engineering, geodesy, architecture, and urbanism. There are about 300 journal titles, with 36 new titles being acquired each year. The reference collection includes a wide selection of encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other reference works. Additionally, the library houses all master's theses and doctoral dissertations defended at all three aforementioned faculties. The library maintains author, subject, alphabetical, and inventory catalogs.

Collection of old and rare books
- The collection of old and rare books consists of 225 units of books (books, technical drawings, manuals, and dictionaries covering topics in civil engineering, military engineering, as well as natural and technical sciences) that are classified as protected cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia - editions up to the year 1850, mostly written in German, with a smaller portion in French and Croatian. These works represent the most renowned figures in engineering from the 18th and 19th centuries, reflecting the flourishing of new scientific achievements during the European Enlightenment period.
- The Varia Collection comprises approximately 158 units of books, gathering rare items from the 1850s onwards.
- The AGG Collection contains approximately 3400 titles of examination and professional literature in the field of civil engineering, around 1067 titles for architecture and urban planning, and about 493 titles in geodesy.
- The collection of doctoral, specialist, and master's theses consists of master's theses and doctoral dissertations from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy at the University of Zagreb.
- The periodicals collection gathers around 229 journal titles, with an additional 12 titles being acquired annually.
The standards collection- The general reference collection consists of encyclopedias, lexicons, atlases, dictionaries, and other manuals in the field of civil engineering, architecture, and geodesy.
