Coordinator for Student Support

Support for students is provided in the following areas:

  • Academic counseling and development of academic skills
  • Career counseling, guidance, and information
  • Information about student internships
  • Support for students with disabilities

Students with disabilities include those with visual and hearing impairments, motor disorders, chronic illnesses, specific learning disabilities (such as dyslexia and ADHD), as well as students with psychiatric illnesses and disorders. By categorizing these students as part of the group of students with disabilities, the intention is not to stigmatize or label them but rather to highlight the need for adjusting academic content to their capabilities.

For any of the above-mentioned forms of support for students, we encourage students to reach out to the coordinator. If any individual student wishes to maintain anonymity, it will be ensured.

We would also like to inform you that the University of Zagreb offers a course titled "Peer Support for Students with Disabilities," which students can enroll in (information about enrollment can be obtained at the student office), at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels of study. The prerequisite for enrolling in the course is familiarity with a student with a disability who requires peer support and who agrees to be paired with a student assistant ("pair"). The "pair" needs to be from the same study program and the same academic year.

The University of Zagreb operates the Counseling and Support Center for Students (CSPS), where you can find information about the services and activities provided by the Center on its website.
