Doc. dr.sc. Katarina Vranešić
University of Zagreb, Faculty of Civil Engineering

Katarina Vranešić is an Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering. Her research and professional work focus on railway infrastructure, with particular emphasis on corrosion and stray currents in urban track structures, which was also the subject of her doctoral dissertation. She has participated in three research projects and published nine journal papers, as well as numerous conference proceedings papers. Her professional activities include participation in projects involving track condition assessment and the analysis of noise and vibration generated by passing railway vehicles. She actively participates in national and international scientific conferences, including serving on their organising committees. She teaches several courses in the university’s undergraduate and graduate civil engineering programmes and supervises students’ bachelor’s and master’s theses.
