Biography |
Matea Flegar works as a Research Assistant at the Department of Materials, as a part of an ongoing Croatian-Swiss Research Program “Advanced low CO2 cementitious materials” – ACT, of the Croatian Science Foundation and the Swiss National Science Foundation financed with funds obtained from the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme. She is also undergoing her PhD studies on the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, focusing her doctoral research on the usage of advanced testing methods for the formulation of new cement types with a lower environmental impact. She has participated and still is participating in numerous conferences and workshops on that subject. Her academic background, a Master degree in Building Science and Technologies obtained from Vienna Technical University, together with a Master degree in Civil Engineering, from the University of Zagreb assures her main research interests which is building ecology and sustainability, paired with performance-based material design. |
