Ana Mandic Ivankovic is a professor with tenure at the Department of structures. Since 2016 she is the Head of the Chair for Bridges  and since 2018 to 2022 she was the Vice Dean for International cooperation. Her research area is assessment of existing bridges, traffic load investigations and seismic assessment. Since 2012, she is the member, since 2017 the Vice chiar and since 2021 to 2025 the Chair of the Editorial Board of one of the leading international journals Structural Engineering International under auspices of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering. From 2017 to 2025 she was the Vice chair, and since 2025 the Chair of of the IABSE Commission 1 – Performance & Requirements. In 2025, she was elected Vice President of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), thereby becoming a member of its Executive Committee. She participated as associate designer and auditor in a number of bridge projects in Croatia.

• Outstanding paper award 2022 in the Scientific paper category for the paper: ROUND-ROBIN MODELLING OF THE LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY OF SLENDER COLUMNS BY USING CLASSICAL AND ADVANCED NON-LINEAR NUMERICAL AND ANALYTICAL PREDICTION TOOLS published in Structural Engineering International.
• First prize for the conceptual design of JARUN BRIDGE, City of Zagreb, 2008;
