The erection provided an opportunity to follow the assembly of a full-scale aluminium tent structure and to gain a better understanding of the practical aspects of its execution.

Particular attention was given to the design and execution of characteristic structural joints, steel bracing elements and other details relevant to the research conducted within the STENT project, which focuses on the optimisation of steel-reinforced aluminium tent structures.

Following the erection made it possible to incorporate experience from the construction of the full-scale structure into the further work on the project. Observations related to the assembly process and the execution of individual structural elements were particularly useful.

These observations will be used in the further development of numerical models and in the preparation of experimental investigations within the project.
