Fourth week:course on 18/19 th March III Lesson

Dear students,

I hope you are all well, and if you are, pretty happy to enjoy sudden freedom. However, it has its limitations and drawbacks. Although I am biased to indulge in whatever dynamic variations of everyday life turn up, I sincerely regret not having you in front of me  wednesdays and thursdays for some couples of weeks ahead. You are a wonderful, lively and interesting group to teach. Although I am extremely busy in everyday domestic life, I miss you already.

Let's get down to our business!

So far, you have acquired dozens of new words. List them down, learn them, cram them.I will check them in colloquiums when we get back to normal life.

TASKS FOR THIS WEEK; GIVEN EXERCISES SHOULD BE DONE BY ALL, BUT SENT TO ME ONLY BT NAMED ONES

1. Go to the third lesson A Day in the Life of a Construction Manager. Listen to the video clip while filling up the gaps in the ex.3. Magdalena and Marko should send me the solutions. Exercise 4. solutions should be sent to me by Lucija.Ex. 5 translations by Hrvoje and Karlo. I AM NOT GOING TO ACKNOWLEDGE TWO SAME HOMEWORKS, everybody should work on his (her )own. Karla should send me an essay (need not be longer than half a page;What I would like to do as future C.E, how I am going to  juggle  my business and private life

2. RECRUITMENT SECTION;

Read the introduction, pages 2 and 3rd. Obligation for Karlo: send me 5 salient characteristics you should respect while preparing your letter of application. Homework for next week: translate Molba za posao inženjera projektanta. The homw.should be sent to me by Doris, Mirta and Fran.

This week the presentation should be given by Karlo. I will try to establish video connection in my house. I hope some of you would be able to join us, so that Karlo can give it in front of more people than just myself.

FUN AND WORK SECTION

Go to page 11, video clip The Knack. Listen to it, put effort into understanding the term collocations, as they are the vital ingredient of good English. Viktorija and Josip should send me 10 most fequent collocations from everyday life. Doris and Valention should send me the words from the exercise 1.

IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT OR QUESTION I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER. I AM SURE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO WORK IN THIS DISCIPLINED WAY FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME!
