The main objectives:

1. to calibrate and validate numerical models with the support of experimental tests to investigate and validate, spot welded built-up cold-formed steel beams;
2. to validate beams by a parametric study via numerical models;
3. detailing, analyse and evaluate the performances of the proposed solution, including potential solutions for mass production;
4. to establish an analytical proposal for design recommendations for this new type of beams.
