Vertiv Croatia is on the lookout for young, new talent to join our team of engineers for an internship period of 2 - 6 months for the position of Structural Design Engineer in our Structural Engineering Design Team. Some of the things you will be doing during your internship will include:
- Assisting in 3D modeling of steel structures using software such as Tekla Structures
- Editing, reviewing, and producing workshop (fabrication) drawings for steel structure production in coordination with senior engineers and fabrication teams
- Supporting senior engineers in preparing structural calculation packages for modular buildings and data center components
- Working with international design standards (EN, AISC) on real project tasks
- Performing basic load analysis, checking member capacities, and reviewing connection details
- Participating in design reviews with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, architectural)
- Assisting with quality checks of engineering documentation and shop drawing packages
- Helping evaluate supplier drawings, material specifications, and fabrication submittals
- Updating internal engineering models and documentation based on design changes
- Contributing to internal improvement initiatives to optimize design workflows and tools
- Learning how modular steel buildings are engineered, manufactured, and assembled
- Engaging in daily team meetings, planning sessions, and technical discussions
If you are…
- An engineering student in your 4th or 5th year of studies
- Available to join us for a period between 2 to 6 months, or more, in a part-time capacity – we are very flexible when it comes to our schedule and our engineers will fully respect your university study workload. Students and Vertiv team lead engineer will organize weekly workload as per student university obligations. Students need to commit to at least 50% of weekly work hours.
