ERASMUS+
For more than three decades, the Erasmus program has been the leading educational, training, youth and sport programme in the European Union. It provides supports for the priorities and activities of the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan, and the European Skills Agenda during the seven-year period from 2021 to 2027. It contributes to the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights, the EU Youth Strategy for the years 2019-2027 and advancement of the European dimension in sport.
Students are eligible for the following Erasmus+ mobility opportunities:
Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies (SMS)
- The University of Zagreb typically posts calls for proposals for Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies at a partner university (faculty) on its web site in January/February of the following academic year.
- SMS Erasmus+ mobility can be accomplished at any of the 13 partner universities (faculties) with which the Faculty of Civil Engineering has signed an inter-institutional Erasmus+ agreement. Students are not required to pay tuition fees at the partner universities and are permitted to remain enrolled in the Faculty of Civil Engineering during their stay abroad
- A study period abroad must a component of the student's study programme in order to successfuly complete a degree at any level of higher education (First Cycle (F) - Bachelor/Undergraduate; Second Cycle (S) - Master/Postgraduate and Third Cycle (T) – Doctorate/PhD).
- A learning agreement must be signed by the student, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and the foreign institution prior to the student's travelling abroad. On the basis of this agreement, the Faculty of Civil Engineering is committed to acknowledging the activities that were effectivly accomplished during the period of study abroad at the partner university (faculty).
ERASMUS+ STUDENT MOBILITY FOR TRAINEESHIPS
- The University of Zagreb typically publishes calls to apply for Erasmus+ Student Mobility for traineeships on its website.
- In terms of workload, participants are required to work full-time, as determined by the working hours of their receiving organisation. Wherever possible, the traineeships should be an integrated part of the student's study programme.
- Students are eligible to participate in Erasmus+ professional internships at universities that have been granted the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, as well as in private or public companies, institutions, organisations, and other entities that are legally recognised and engaged in the labour market or education and youth. The recipient institution must be situated in one of the program nations, which include the EU member states, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey. Switzerland does not permit mobility.
- Exceptionaly, it is feasible to finish the study (graduate) prior to departing for mobility, provided that the applicant submits an application for the grant and executes the Learning Agreement for Traineeships document prior to the conclusion of the program.

BILATERAL AGREEMENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB
The University of Zagreb publishes calls for student mobility that are based on bilateral agreements on its website.
The exchange's duration is dependent upon the invitation letter of the recipient university and may vary from three to twelve months. The sole method of facilitating student exchange for the purpose of a study stay is through inter-university agreements.
Students are exempt from paying tuition expenses at partner universities and are obligated to remain enrolled in the Faculty of Civil Engineering during their stay abroad.
ACADEMIC MOBILITY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB
The University of Zagreb announces a call for the mobility of doctoral candidates twice annually.
Who is eligible to submit an application?
- - Doctoral students who are employed at the University and its constituent units and are currently enrolled in a doctoral study programme at a constituent unit where they are employed.
- - Doctoral students who are not employed by the University or its constituent units, including those who are enrolled as doctoral students at a constituent unit where they are not employed.
Doctoral students are required to be enrolled in a doctoral program during the mobility period and at the time of application. As part of this mobility, registration fees may be reimbursed for active participation in scientific and professional conferences. An oral or poster presentation is required for active participation in the conference, and only cross-border mobilities are feasible.
