- Award for Outstanding Presentation at the 27th University Fair
- From November 10th to 12th, 2022, the 27th University Fair took place. After pandemic years, it was held again in full splendor, albeit in different venues. At this year's Fair, our Faculty was awarded for innovation in presentation. Alongside the exhibition space inside the Congress Hall at the Zagreb Fair, the Faculty presented itself through the nZEB mobile house MUZA located at the entrance to the hall. Visitors at the exhibition space could obtain basic information about the Faculty, study programs, admission criteria, and quotas from assistants and students. There was significant interest from visitors in the creation of physical models of load-bearing structures using MOLA Structural Model elements. The models' success based on the principle "Build smart - shake safely!" was tested on an earthquake table located at the Faculty's booth.
- Award from the Croatian Chamber of Engineers for Successful Scientific and Professional Collaboration
- The Faculty of Civil Engineering received an award from the Croatian Chamber of Engineers for successful scientific and professional collaboration. The award was presented by the president of the Chamber, Zdravko Jurčec, to the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Stjepan Lakušić, at the Engineers' Day of the Republic of Croatia on March 2, 2022. As part of Engineers' Day, Dean Lakušić also participated in the Round Table discussion on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and Lifelong Education.
- Certificate of Appreciation for Contribution to the Implementation of the Humanitarian Action "Advent of the University of Zagreb"
- The Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb received a Certificate of Appreciation for its contribution to the implementation of the humanitarian action "Advent of the University of Zagreb" and recognition of the importance of student activities. The certificate was accepted by the Vice Dean for Education, Assoc. Prof. Domagoj Damjanović, at a ceremony held at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb. The successful implementation of this activity would not have been possible without the great assistance of the Student Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, to whom we extend our sincere thanks.
- Certificate of Appreciation from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture
- On the occasion of the Faculty Day on December 2, 2021, the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Civil Engineering was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture for its assistance in assessing the earthquake consequences and preparing the application for the comprehensive renovation of the buildings.
- Golden Honorary Medal
- On November 24, 2021, the Rector of the University of Zagreb, Prof. Damir Boras, presented the Golden Honorary Medals and awards, which were designated for University Day 2020 but were not awarded due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation. The University of Zagreb's Faculty of Civil Engineering received the Golden Honorary Medal for its exceptional contribution in inspecting, assessing, and repairing the material damage at the University of Zagreb caused by the earthquake.
- Plaque for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy
- On November 23, 2021, a ceremonial session was held by the Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad to mark the 50th anniversary of civil engineering studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. During this ceremony, the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Civil Engineering received a plaque for outstanding contribution to the development of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy. The plaque was also awarded to Prof. Emerita Dubravka Bjegović.
- Kolos Award for Outstanding Contribution to Post-Earthquake Damage Assessment
- During the 15th Days of the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers held in Opatija from June 17 to 19, the Kolos Award ceremony took place. In the external legal entity category, the Kolos Award for outstanding contribution to post-earthquake damage assessment, mitigating consequences, and planning reconstruction after the Zagreb and Sisak-Moslavina earthquakes of 2020 was awarded to the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Civil Engineering. In the earthquake engineering category, the award for addressing the aftermath of the Petrinja earthquake was given to engineers Maja Baniček, Marija Demšić, and Joško Krolo for their significant contributions as operational coordinators in Petrinja, organizing and conducting urgent inspections of earthquake-damaged buildings in Petrinja.
- City of Zagreb Award 2021
- On May 31, 2021, the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Civil Engineering was awarded the City of Zagreb Award for the compassionate and dedicated efforts of its faculty members in post-earthquake damage assessment and reconstruction planning.
- Recognition for Special Contribution
- On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology on April 26, 2021, the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology awarded the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Civil Engineering a Recognition for Special Contribution. This award was given for the Faculty's significant contributions through joint collaboration and the development of scientific and educational activities.
- Special Award of Medicine for Outstanding Contribution to the Functioning of the School of Medicine
- During the ceremonial session marking the 103rd anniversary of the University of Zagreb's School of Medicine, the Faculty of Civil Engineering was awarded the Special Award of Medicine for its exceptional contribution to the functioning of the School of Medicine. Faculty staff were involved in assessing damage after the earthquake and advising on the approach to the rehabilitation of the School of Medicine buildings. The award was presented by the Dean of the School of Medicine, Prof. Marijan Klarica, to the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Stjepan Lakušić.
- "Zlatna kuna" Award by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce
- As part of the presentation of the most prestigious awards in the economy, "Zlatna kuna", the Croatian Chamber of Commerce awarded the Faculty of Civil Engineering a Special Recognition for Excellence, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in Construction on December 7, 2020. The award particularly highlighted the Faculty's significant involvement in activities related to the earthquake that struck the city of Zagreb and its surroundings. The recognition was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Stjepan Lakušić, who expressed his gratitude to the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for recognizing the strength and readiness of the academic community to aid in the development of the economy.
- Award by the Croatian Association of Civil Engineers
- The Croatian Association of Civil Engineers awarded employees of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Stjepan Lakušić, Assoc. Prof. Josip Atalić, and Asst. Prof. Mario Uroš for their selfless contribution during all actions, interventions, and coordinations related to earthquake activities in the City of Zagreb at their 54th regular assembly held on September 12, 2020, upon the proposal of the Society of Civil Engineers Zagreb.
- The City of Zagreb Medal for 2020 for post-earthquake activities was awarded to employees Associate Professor Josip Atalić, Assistant Professor Mario Uroš, and Assistant Professor Marta Šavor Novak for their selfless contribution to the citizens of the City of Zagreb and their demonstrated knowledge and expertise in assessing the damage caused by the earthquake during the inspection of buildings in Zagreb.
