REGISTERING RESEARCH RESULTS
Technological progress and innovation are essential for transforming the construction industry and improving engineering solutions, with collaboration between the academic community and industry playing a key role in technology and knowledge transfer. Through such collaboration, the Faculty can better understand the real needs of the market and direct research towards solutions that are not only innovative but also commercially viable and practically applicable.
The Faculty conducts numerous scientific research projects supported by funding from various national and international funds and programs. These research activities form the backbone of the Faculty's scientific work, laying the groundwork for innovation and technological development.
The strategic goal of the Faculty of Civil Engineering for the upcoming period is to strengthen its innovation potential by enhancing the skills of its employees for innovation development, fostering collaborative research, improving the market readiness of research outcomes, and increasing visibility across all segments of society. Through these efforts, the Faculty not only shapes the future of civil engineering but also actively contributes to comprehensive social and economic development.
The procedure for registering research results with innovation potential at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering is outlined in the Flowchart of activities concerning intellectual property management (intended for Faculty employees only).
The Flowchart prescribes that research outcomes with innovation and commercial potential are recorded via a specialized form. All employees, students, and collaborators who report intellectual property resulting from research are required to submit the form, which is tailored for patent, trademark, and industrial design applications.
For assistance with filling out the form, or any other aspect of the procedures regulating intellectual property and technology transfer, applicants are requested to contact the staff of the Centre for Projects, Innovations and Technology Transfer (CePITT) via e-mail cepitt@grad.unizg.hr.
