Teacher evaluation surveys
The Quality Assurance and Enhancement Committee organizes the implementation of student surveys to evaluate the performance of teachers. The first survey was conducted in the summer semester of the academic year 2005/2006 using the paper-pencil method, while starting from the summer semester of the academic year 2007/2008, the survey can be conducted online through the Information System of Higher Education Institutions (ISVU). Surveys for evaluating the work of teachers are conducted at the end of each semester.
Surveys for evaluating the study programs
To gather feedback from students about their experience at individual faculties, the University of Zagreb has prepared survey questionnaires for students who have completed undergraduate or graduate studies. The data from these questionnaires enable the faculties to analyze the implementation of the study programs from the students' perspective, identify strengths and weaknesses of the programs as a whole, and plan potential quality improvement measures accordingly. This method of evaluation was introduced starting from the academic year 2009/2010.
SPONA i UPraVO
The Office for Quality Management of the University of Zagreb has provided online advisory support for teachers to enhance teaching practices - SPONA. Questions are submitted electronically (urkva@unizg.hr), and a specialist from the Office for Quality Management directs them to the specific expertise of individual advisors. Advisors are university professors with relevant expertise in educational sciences and human resource management. The areas of consultation include: lesson planning, teaching methods and techniques, evaluation of student achievements and teaching practices, communication with students, and communication with colleagues - teaching collaborators. As an additional form of assistance, teachers can use the e-portal UPraVO - Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, designed to support teachers in curriculum planning and course program selection, teaching method choices, and learning outcomes assessment, as well as monitoring their own work. This e-portal also provides information about advisory support for teachers - SPONA.
