Description:

Introduction: definitions, elements and cross-sections types. Previous works:
data collection on terrain and soil, earth works material classification. Crosssection
elements: characteristics cross-sections types and design. Embankment
and excavation: design and conducting of cut and fill, slope treatment and
protection. Ancillary construction work: retaining walls, drainage equipment,
culverts. Calculation, distribution and balancing of masses. Cut and fill
construction in inconvenient soil conditions: landslides, low bearing capacity of
soil. Works in rock.
