University Specialist Programme

Announcement for admission of students to the university specialist study programme in Civil Engineering

UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

announces

C A L L   F O R   A P P L I C A N T S

for admission to the university specialist study programme CIVIL ENGINEERING

for the academic year 2024/2025

The Faculty enrols students in the University Specialist Degree Programme with the academic title of Specialist in Civil Engineering with the following specialisations:

  • Bridges
  • Organisation and management in civil engineering
  • Fire engineering
  • Hydrotechnics

The study lasts one year and the tuition fee is EUR 5,000.00.

The programme is open to individuals who have completed a university graduate programme or an integrated undergraduate and postgraduate graduate programme or an undergraduate programme (according to the previous regulations) and who have earned at least 60 ECTS credits in the field of civil engineering during their studies, of which at least 30 ECTS credits must be in the subject area for which they are applying. The specialisation in Organisation and management in civil engineering and Fire engineering may exceptionally be completed by individuals who have completed the above-mentioned degree programmes and have earned at least 60 ECTS credits from subjects in the field of technical sciences during their studies.

Exceptionally, a person who has completed a professional graduate programme may enrol in the university specialisation study programme after passing the additional examinations established by the university and having at least five years of professional experience in the field related to the studies. Individuals who have not earned the required number of ECTS credits must enrol for and pass an additional examination.

Minimum number of candidates required for a  program to be conducted:

  • Bridges: 5
  • Organisation and Management in Civil Engineering: 5
  • Fire Engineering: 10
  • Hydrotechnics: 5

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Applications for admission will be accepted from May 1 to August 31, 2024. The following documents must be submitted with the application:

  1. Application form
  2. Certificate of citizenship
  3. Birth certificate
  4. Diploma of previously completed study programme
  5. Transcript of records
  6. Curriculum of previously completed study programme (for candidates who did not complete their previous studies at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering)
  7. Short curriculum vitae with a list of published papers

Exceptionally, graduate students submit the application and the other documents listed above, with the exception of the diploma, which must be submitted later.
